LIVE EDGED FURNITURE

ELM COFFEE TABLE

ELM COFFEE TABLE – 2019 – Constructed with Elm live edge slabs. It features”hand cut” dovetail joinery and a poured epoxy finish. It is a very light and airy piece compared with most live edge slab furniture. This is made possible by the strength of the dovetail joinery.

WALNUT END TABLES

WALNUT END TABLES – 2022 – Live Edge Walnut End Tables feature full extension drawers with drawer fronts creating the “waterfall” look; when closed the table appears to be a half of a log.

CHERRY “RIVER” TABLE

CHERRY “RIVER” TABLE – 2022 – Live edged cherry slab with the bark still on. This table features a river routed into the surface with sand, small pebbles and larger stones. The poured epoxy in the river has a small amount of blue dye and the entire top surface is poured with clear epoxy as well. The live edged legs are attached to the top with dovetail shaped through tenons.

SILVER MAPLE DINING RIVER TABLE – 2022 – This dining table is made from two live edged slabs of silver maple. I cut each slab in half and rejoined them with opposing grains for stability. I then joined the two pieces with hickory “bridges” embedded in recesses filled with epoxy. The river is translucent epoxy tinted with blue colorant and features stones of various sizes, some of which are painted to resemble “whitewater” cascading over the rocks. The surface is poured epoxy about 1/4″ thick. The table is fitted with square tubular steel legs and will seat 6 people comfortably.

NORWAY MAPLE DINING TABLE – 2022 – This “Cafe Height” dining table is made with two slabs of Norway Maple. I joined the two slabs with opposing grains for stability. The table features: (11) walnut “bow-ties” to help reduce the possibility of the seam opening up, live edges with the bark left in place. The surface is poured epoxy about 1/4″ thick. The table is fitted with square tubular steel legs and will seat 8 people comfortably.

My son made the website using WordPress 6.03, a free program. I am not skilled in web design so I just add posts of recent wood projects. Good luck.

Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog
platform are you using for this site? I’m getting tired
of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers
and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
